Kingda Ka Construction > Construction Update

Report by Elixir, Great Adventure Source contributor

Well, construction has obviously begun and all of us are beginning to get ideas for what could possibly be coming to Six Flags Great Adventure next year. But I just happen to have some of my own conclusions of what it may be.

First off, I am beginning to believe that this will not be an Intamin coaster, but in fact an S&S coaster. But one unlike the others. This coaster, without a doubt, is going to be BIG. And S&S, in my opinion is
going to provide a ride unlike any other coaster that is out there. I am thinking that it may be their own version of Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, maybe adding something unique into it. Second off, I believe that where the construction is going on right now, I believe that is where the towers for the highest point of the ride will be. My theory is that the station will be located behind Scream Machine
with the track running along side Rolling Thunder, straight to the point where the
construction is going on now.

As for the entrance for the ride, I have a feeling that we will be saying goodbye to Bug's Bunny Land after this season. For that area will be our new ride's midway. I also have a feeling that to accommodate this ride and all that may be coming with it, they will be tearing down basically the whole season pass parking lot by Rolling Thunder, behind Scream Machine. Which will cause a parking problem, but I am sure will be fixed by then.

Now as for my theory, the track length will be WAY more then 2480ft. Which got me thinking. Everyone was getting so excited for that board meeting a couple weeks ago, but at NO point did Great Adventure say that that was the actual length for the new major ride. How do we know that the 2480ft.
isn't for a new train ride that will be going in that section. Or a medium sized Tivoli coaster to go along with the new major ride. For all we know, Great Adventure could of waited for the hype for the 2480ft. to die down, and while everyone was speculating and not paying attention, they could
legally have a private meeting with the Jackson Board. Hamilton Twp. has private board meetings all the time, and the certain things are only told the people that DEFINITELY have to know about it, not necessarily the public.

Well, that's my theory. Enjoy the pictures.

Thanks,
Elixir
