New Warning System / Disciplinary Notices

In an effort to better streamline the way the administrative staff and moderating team issue disciplinary action, the Northeast Theme Park Network Forums will be utilizing the boards built in warning system. For many of you this message is unnecessary however for those of you who have received disciplinary action in the past please take note of how the new system works.

How It Works

Located in your personal profile or just under your avatar and member title out in the forum you will notice a bar with warning percentage amount. This warning bar is our new system in a nutshell. If there is a need to administer disciplinary action to your account your warning percentage will increase. For each incident the staff member administrating the warning will also leave a brief note with your account which you can review by clicking on the warning bar. If the staff member feels you need additional information they will contact your via the PM system or your registered email address. You will only able to see and access the notes to your own account.

In this new system you can receive up to 6 warnings. As in the past the more warnings you receive the more restricted your posting ability will become. If you receive a 6th warning your account will be permanently suspended.

The Warning Structure

1st Incident – Warning / Member Title Remains the Same, No account limitations

2nd Incident – Warning / Member Title Remains the Same, No account limitations

3rd Incident – Warning / Member is placed in the “Warning” member group / minor account limitations imposed.

4th Incident – Probation / Member is placed in the “Probation” member group / increased account limitations imposed.

5th Incident – Suspension / Member is placed the “Suspension” member group / member is unable to post in forum. Suspension duration varies and will be set by staff member.

6th Incident – Permanent Ban Imposed on Account

***All warnings except permanent bans will be eligible for appeal after 90 days.***

Please keep in mind that the moderating team is not limited to the guidelines above. If the team feels that they need to impose additional action to your account they may do so at any time. Additional disciplinary action includes but is not limited to, hourly suspensions and moderator review of all posts made by the disciplined member. For more serious violations, a temporary ban may be imposed.

Existing Members with Disciplinary Action

For those of you currently on warning or probation your account will be reviewed by a staff member and one of two things will happen. If the staff member feels that you have demonstrated good behavior your warning / probation will be eliminated and/or reduced. If the staff member feels your account should remain the same your warning level will be adjusted accordingly.

We appreciate you taking the time to read this message and if you have any questions or concerns please voice them below.

Thank You,

This seems like a good system because you will know what you did wrong, and have more of an opportunity to "change your ways".
