^^mmmmm.....that still just seems like it could have been the media misconstruing what was actually said......they do that from time to time. Busch telling them that they are one of the largest theme park operators in the U.S. and then saying we have a deal with B&M not to build dive machines within a certain area of our parks......can translate to what was printed above, you gotta remember they write to the gp not to the enthusiasts. They go for a general understanding not necessarily a detailed explanation.

^ That is wide B&M track I gotts disagree with ya I don't see anyway its hyper unles they're expanding the hyper trains and I don;t c a reason they'd do that

That is DEFINITELY not Dive Machine Track width.
Not assuming that the red track is definitely going to Kings Island...
but...
I'm assuming it's going to Kings Island.

My verdict?
Hyper with a splashdown.

ive just taken a look at pictures of griffon's track and they are more long in the box section not necessarily thick

Posted Image

The red track in those pictures has a box section that is more square in shape

Posted Image

So if we assume that the track would look alike the shape of the red track is slightly different then the track of griffon

^^ those pics are from an end / slow part of the ride, the track is designed different at slower parts of the ride, however the angles on those pics can also be tricky.

As for PKI, as of now it seems like a sure thing thats where the track is going, but that splashdown is not nearly as wide as SheiKra's, however, the angles can be tricky!

mmmmm....I still feel that is dive machine track pictured....AND that KI's splashzone and layout does not fit the bill of a dive machine. And the mystery goes on....again there is always the possibility that this could be mirabilandia's too.....even though I feel that is very doubtful

One thing that makes me think:

Note what the cross-ties look like that hold the rails.

Posted Image

Dive Machines, like Griffon here, have ties that run straight and flat across except at the points where two pieces meet.

Posted Image

Meanwhile Hypers, like Behemoth, have ties that are angled a bit all the way through.

Posted Image

Looking at the new stuff, it shows a whole new type, with it long and flat in the middle then angling up on the ends. It has to be some kind of new ride, it's neither a regular hyper nor a regular dive machine. Maybe a hyper with wider trains?

^ That would be sick....B&M hypers are already line gobblers.....could you imagine tice the capacity?!!!!! There should almost never be a line! Still though even if this is a hyper with wider trains.....it doesn't explain why the splash trough would be so tiny.......

Well you do know that Behemoth has smaller cars right?
Posted Image

Nitro's track is still basically the same though.
Posted Image

EDIT: I was looking at this and I noticed that where the separate track pieces bolt together match the red track:
Posted Image
It doesn't necessarily mean anything though... I just find that interesting.

I hope we are getting it. Even though we have gotten a lot of coasters this decade, we lost 2 as well so with Viper removed for ET and Chiller removed for TDK, our coaster count hasn't increased since KK. Plus it would be cool to be the first park to have 5 B&M's, then all we need is a sitdown and a standup and we have 1 of every kind of B&M in the park.

I would like to have this coaster, however, not for the coaster count. I couldn't care less about how many coasters we have. Just as long as they're good. Although this is goin to Kings Island, not here.

The more I look at that red track the more I realize that can not be what is going to KI......their splash trough is simply not big enough for it!

It looks like it would fit if the rails sat above the trough.

Yes, this is defiantly not going to King's Island. King's Island new coaster is confirmed to be a B&M Hyper, and this is not Hyper track. It has the same ties and width as dive coaster track. And plus, if you look at KI's hyper layout it was WAY too spread out to be a dive machine. It is the layout of a normal B&M hyper. The layout can be found in the topic about KI's new 2009 hyper somewhere.

^ No, the ties are different than anything we've seen. They're the same size but of a different shape.

Regardless of the ties, this is definatly not going to KI. The track is far too wide to be a hyper coaster.
