SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. - July 13, 2008 (WPVI) -- A South Jersey roller coaster was the scene of an accident Sunday night.
An official with Casino Pier in Seaside Heights says that an employee was struck and injured by the Star Jet coaster at around 7:00.
The 21-year-old employee was apparently trying to retrieve a hat in a restricted area.
We have no information on the injured man's condition.

The ride seemed to be working fine.
Seaside Heights Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

All that really protects this ride is a 3 foot fence. Not defending him, he was an idiot. Bigger fences should be put in for liability reasons though.
