I was too, for the first time in a while! I do lots of recreations, but they all suck because I always do box-buildings and it looks really bad.

Been a while, haven't been able to update mainly due to GAH taking down their GK section which halted progress until I found a backup on archive.org. I've also been working on the Great Character Cafe, which is easily the hardest building to recreate in RCT without designated scenery pieces for it.

GK Marketplace Progress(I'm not happy with Kingdom Traders, but don't know what else to do to make it more accurate)

Great Character Cafe (very early test design. Still have no idea how to pull it off, any suggestions would be great)

If you ever need any photographs or anything, feel free to drop me a PM, I'm most likely bound to have a photo or two laying around on my computer you could use.

Excellent work. Very very nice.

Side note: RCT2 graphics now hurt my eyes. I'm so use to RCT3 that I think it spoiled me.

CC looks great the way it is! I'm glad you give detail to the buildings and not just the rides....is Spin Meister going to be in the park?

Thanks a ton for the offer Josh, I have in fact been using a lot of your pics that are over at Coaster-Net when I can't find what I'm looking for at GAH.

Side note: RCT2 graphics now hurt my eyes. I'm so use to RCT3 that I think it spoiled me.

Yeah, RCT3 can really discourage me sometimes...until I remember that it's stupid graphical limits prohibit you from making even a small/medium park with any deep level of detail without the high probability of the game crashing. Case in point, Conifer Slopes at the Atari RCT3 Forums. Unbelievably realistic looking park that had to be stopped due to RCT3 crashing because it couldn't hold the level of detail. In the end, I'd rather have "crappy" 2D graphics with the comfort of knowing I can finish the park I'm working on than look at the possibility of throwing it all away because the engine the game runs on can't hold a certain amount of the "great" 3D graphics.

...is Spin Meister going to be in the park?

Nope, since it was removed for rehab in the 2005 off-season and never put back the plot will just be sitting there. Though I will make sure the footprint is big enough so if someone really wants to, they can add it back in.

Can you give us an overview of the whole park so far?

I see you use the Spanish buildings. I love them, they can fit almost anywhere.
It's looking great.

Can you give us an overview of the whole park so far?

Sure, but due to the current movement project of Medusa, Saw Mill, NSA and Runaway Train there's a lot outdated that doesn't reflect the true completion percentage of the park. Right now if everything were in its correct place I'd say its around 40%, but since I've just ripped up all of the northwestern stuff and have to put it back I'd say its more around 35%.

Overview as of 5/13/09 (Pre-"Northwestern Area Movement")

I started on a Great Adventure Recreation a few weeks ago using the Great Adventure pre-made map but I didn't save and I don't feel like restarting it. Anyway I must say what you have shown so far is excellent. I don't think you can add much more detail.

Thanks!

I really like how you used the custom supports on KK.

The color scheme you used on Medusa is a lot better than the one on the pre-designed Medusa that comes with the game.

I would hope so since the color was made specifically for this rec... ;)
