Hopefully it's being place by the entrance/exit road for everyone to see, I think it could draw a lot of people to the park if they see a gigantic funnel slide in operation on a hot day.

^ Nice. I had a feeling they'd add a Tornado Slide, just because they are impressive.

A Tornado is going to be a big draw regardless of where it goes. They just have to advertise it right. I also hope we get a different color besides Blue and Yellow. How about Green and Black and name it SURGE!

They should have went for the record of world's tallest Tornado waterslide. I'm just happy we are getting one though. I will be there opening day.

Texas Giant sounds like a winner come 2011. Extreme Banking?!? I want to ride that!

From part of the press release...

A TORNADO WILL TOUCH DOWN AT SIX FLAGS HURRICANE HARBOR IN 2010

Jackson, N.J. - Six Flags Hurricane Harbor will kick off its 10th Anniversary season in 2010 with a new 60-foot Tornado whirlwind. The Tornado, an enormous funnel-shaped attraction will offer guests the ultimate in tubing thrills all summer long when it opens May 29.

This exciting new water ride will blast thrill seekers down a 135 foot long vortex tunnel into a 60-foot wide funnel. During the journey, guests will blast into the eye of the storm, swishing form side to side by more than 5,000 gallons of water before being released into a calm and refreshing catch pool. Families can enjoy Tornado together in specially-designed, cloverleaf-shaped tubes that seat four. Those not brave enough to take on this new thrilling adventure can ride out the storm from the observation platform which will feature a spectacular view of all the action! The Tornado will touch down between the park's tube slides "Bada Bing, Bada Bang, Bada Boom!" and the speed slide complex "Jurahnimo, Cannonball, and Wahini Falls".

I wish this slide were being placed on the other side of the park, since it's so imbalanced with slides on the side where this is going. Next to the Four Winds would be a much better place for this and future additions so that all the towers but one aren't concentrated right next to one another on one side of things.

^I agree but Four Winds is a really good slide. Second Best there after Hurricane Mountain's Orange or Blue slides. They get you soaked with the waterfalls. Now that everything is on the left side of the park I'm guessing Four Winds won't be as crowded. Also, Tornado should give good views of Ka. Can't wait slide!
