If I remember correctly, they took it down for the GITPP

Bingo...there were a bunch of overhangs around the park that got removed for the parades. And yes I agree that tree is definitly marked for removal....it does look lkike the branches above it could interefere with skyscreamer so thats why its out

I really hope they do a ton of landscaping around the new rides, the whole area is so full of concrete it would be nice to see some new young trees be planted that will grow in over time. I want it to be on the level of TDK's landscaping when it first opened.

^ Agreed. The park's landscaping has gotten so much better over the years. I really hope they don't just leave the concrete there or plant two or three bushes around the rides and call it a day.

I'm hoping the park return to this kind of landscaping next year:

The park looked AMAZING!

I mentioned my hope for a freefall tower to hopefully join Adventure Alley at a later year. I just watched a video of Mach Tower running and I think it brakes too conservatively compared to an Intamin gyro. Mach Tower goes to parking for quite a bit of time after it reaches the brakes and stops.

I'm not too fond of the idea of having two towers in such close proximity to each other. I'd feel it'd fit in much better way back in Teepee's old spot since Frontier ADventures has no flats in it and would be enough of an eyecather to draw crowds towards Bizarro, giving both a nice amount of ridership. Plus you'd get a nice view of the lake and Safari from it as well!

Last year, I was talking to Angel about a flat ride to place in that huge area of concrete in front of The Dark Knight Coaster. I forget what kind of ride I suggested, but she said, "or a drop tower."

Not that she works here anymore. But I thought that was interesting.

I completely agree. I've always pictured a drop tower themed to a totem pole and native American spirits or something like that. There's certainly a good amount of area to create a really great space that would showcase the ride. Some totem poles with the rides name carved into them flanking both sides of the entrance/exit. A few more poles and bright green trees circling around the queue. Place some benches in around the tower so people can sit and watch while their friends ride. Plus, with nothing really tall in that area, there would be nothing to compete with visually. You know you'd hear "Oh sh*t, whats that back there?! I need to get on that!" and BAM you got foot traffic where you need it!

As long as there is no objections to the totem pole theme that's a great idea for a drop tower.

A new teepee theme might work for a Giant Frisbee too.

Remember there is always that space between the Northern Star and Sawmill Log Flume that you can build on!

I always thought of a Drop Tower outside the Batman Arena, and a HUSS Giant Frisbee and a HUSS Rodeo in Frontier Adventures. But you can do all three if we were to expand behind the Log Flume and Northern Star Arena. That wouldn't be a bad combo for a year. Maybe for 2013 or 2014 we can get those with a classic Wave Swinger and Musik Express!

I like the totem pole idea very much! Would Six Flags do it though...? :confused0006:

Well, Jersey is known as the Garden State. We could use more flowers and lanscaping around the park.

To keep things organized, I'm going to close this topic. Move any related discussion over to the Adventure Alley thread. No point in having two seperate threads about the same thing ;)
