Nope. That coaster is worth more as scrap metal.

I mean I hate saying that, but it is. Getting this coaster up and running will require much more than just the purchase price and if somebody did have enough money to buy it, install it, and get it into good operating condition, it still would require a good chunk of money to maintain. LIMs are outdated and the whole system would need an overhaul to make it reliable. When you add it all up, it's just not worth the money.

idk the company trying to sell it but they really seems to be pushing the limits of credibility and legality of the sale. They say ut is a 2006 coaster...its a 1997! They say its in excellent condition....it just cant be in "excellent condition"....good condition would be stretching it...."fair condition with some work needed" sounds more like it to me. They are almost certainly goibg to need to buy a whole brand new set of LIMS which are actually pretty expensive. Im not willing to say its not going to sell for sure I could see a couple companies like parque reunidos or the conoany that owns Clementon & Alabama adventure being interested because this is perfect for a small compact parks where it will be the main attraction and therefore spending maintenance on it will be that parks priority....here it fell victim to not being important enough to get the "it must run" limitless maintenance budget like KK and ET have. But if it goes to a park where it will be the star attraction i think it could do well and the fact that its such a small footprint I think adds to its appeal for those smaller parks. I could also see an asian park showing interest as well

With all the problems that Chiller had in its lifespan, how come those same problems haven't been as apparent with the Flight of Fear coasters
and other Premier LIM coasters that utilize the same technology as Chiller? It just seems that those coasters run fine and that Chiller was just
doomed from the start.

Chiller had a bunch of seperate issues during its lifespan...the first of which was trying to launch them at the same time. Premiere very specifically toldmSF the coasters were not meant to be launched together but they tried it anyway. The result was so much power being used at one time that it caused blackouts not only in the park but in parts of Jackson! This is what lead to it being closed a mere few days after it opened in 1997. When it reopened in 1998 it did so with Premiers's original staggered launch design. Why it seemed plagued with problems in the long run just backs up my belief that it had to do with the way the park played around with the LIMs. Being the only park with a dual-track LIM coaster in irder to save money on LiM replacements they closed a side and started using the LiMs from the other side. But eventually when they had no more LIMs from the other side to replace the one side then they started to play around with the idea of maybe we can take this LIM out and the train will still make it...it did...so they kept kept trying and trying until they got to a point where it still traversed the course with the minimum LiMs possible. IMO if a company suggests a certain number of something or that sonething be done a certain way its not because someone said jey lets just put 20 LIMs cause thats the number that popped into my head! Theres a reason for it... I dont know enough about the inner workings of the coaster to say for sure what that is but IMO the playing around with the LiMs is what caused the problems that lead to chiller and I think the fact that it is the only dual-track coaster solidifies my idea because none of the other parks had the option to play around with the LIMs

Hmm.. If it were not melted down into scrap metal, It looks like I'll need to take a trip to its future park (if it has one).

Hopefully if it did get bought by a park it isn't too far away. I really regret not riding Chiller the one chance I had in 2007 but it looked like it might be too intense for me along with Kingda Ka at the time so I never rode it and waited until the next season to ride Kingda Ka after I tried Storm Runner.
