gadv posted on their fbook after the storm that all rides and animals were okay and there was no flooding at the park. So everything at gadv appears to be a-okay

In the Star Ledger it said that it may be up to 8 months before residents are allowed to even set foot again on the barrier islands from Mantaloking to Seaside. It's going to be years before those places are back to normal. My family has a summer house in Brick near the bay, luckily only the garage and crawlspace underneath the house were flooded; the builders made the house about a foot higher than the older houses surrounding it which saved the first floor. Contrast that with the people across the way that had about a foot of water rush into their first floor and are looking at $100,000+ of damages. People on the actual bay, about a mile away from us, had insane damage though with houses knocked off foundations, natural gas fueled fires, boats piled on top of cars, and major flooding.

The paper also said that Casino Pier might be leveled and built again as the pilings underneath are all compromised. From the photos it look like Star Jet, Niagara Falls flume, Stillwalk Manor, Musik Express and Centrifuge are in the ocean. On Funtown Pier I heard that four rides escaped damage of 44 with Looping Coaster among others in the ocean. It's crazy to think that I was just down on the Seaside boardwalk like two weeks ago and now it's like a warzone.

Casino Pier posted on Facebook that their Wild Mouse is being taken down but not necessarily being removed permanently and Pirate's Hideaway is closed for the season which I guess means doesn't have to have anything done to it and can be reopened whenever the pier reopens.

At least something was saved! I hope they can salvage the wheel in Funtown.
