Hopefully the ride opens before Memorial Day weekend. There's really not much else to do except set up operations for the ride and start training. However, if the state does not certify the ride in time we may get a later opening date.

^ Looking forward to the aerial update!
Testing started today and it's looking pretty good! Although I probably won't be riding it much this year because of the lines, I can definitely see myself riding ED on most trips in the future provided I'm not waiting >30 mins.

Awesome day at the park for media day. El Diablo was admittedly more intense than I expected and hanging upside down is definitely the highlight of the ride. I don't think I'll be riding it much this year, but once the lines die down a bit, I can definitely see it being a ride I'll hit every trip

Side Note: The petition thing is dumb.
Well Six Flags is doing a lot of why my petition asked. They announced Holiday In The Park a few months after I physically mailed in the petition, and people have stated that they're cleaning/removing stuff from Old Country. Coincidence? Maybe. But I think the petition was the extra push to do these things that people have been asking for.

Finally rode it today, so here's my take.
I'm severely disappointed that it is billed as a roller coaster and a major addition. The best part of the ride is the statue that probably cost more than the ride itself.
Seriously, I can't believe that Six Flags bought and installed a bunch of carnival rides and installed them in theme parks. It didn't even have a line when everything else did. The public is not "stoked" by a ring of fire.
We could of had an overhaul of Rolling Thunder. THAT would have drawn the public's interest and generated buzz. This addition does not.
I'm sick of our park being given these second rate attractions. We need a major attraction, our last "major" addition is almost 10 years old.
Ride it once and be done with it. I want to see something unique and exciting, like Magic Mountain gets. Not carnival crap like El Diablo.
There was a dream that was GADV Online...
