Opening Day is just over 2 months away and what will be the first coaster you ride at Great Adventure in 2015?

Last year it was a tie for 1st place with Nitro and El Toro with Kingda Ka in 3rd place even thought it seemed unlikely the ride would be ready for opening day.

This year I expect Kingda Ka to get more votes since it will hopefully be running at the beginning of the season along with all the other coasters.

I guess if this was an official Six Flags poll they would have included it. I'll add it just for fun (now that it has been added, I wonder if anyone will actually vote for it).

I voted for El Diablo, the biggest, baddest roller coaster on the planet. What is it going to have, 20 loops? Look at that, world record looping coaster right there!

I voted El Toro. I haven't been to Gadv since mid summer, and El Toro is my overall favorite roller coaster. I get two consecutive rides at opening almost every visit.

I chose Kingda Ka. Every year since getting a season pass I usually go to Kingda Ka first except last year when I went to Nitro since I didn't get to ride Kingda Ka until August last year.

I voted Kingda Ka although it really depends on what time I get to the park during my first visit. If I get there later when the lines have already gotten long, my first coaster will be Green Lantern. I hope to get there earlier so I can start off the season with the Zumanjaro/ Kingda Ka combo.

Green Lantern: a suitable replacement, but will never be the same. RIP GASM.

So you're waiting until at least Memorial Day to take your first coaster ride of the year? :P

Kingda Ka.

And if it's (somehow) not open, El Toro.

Because most people run over to Toro and Ka for their first ride, I'm thinking I might do Nitro first this year and get a bunch of rerides in to start off the season.

That's a good idea. It always amazes me how few people go towards Movietown when the park opens where on some slower days like on a Friday night during Fright Fest 2013, there was literally no one going to Batman except me (I was trying to get a solo ride) and maybe 15 - 20 people going towards Nitro.

Yeah, a solid 80% or more of people rush to the east side of the park at opening meaning the west side is empty for a good hour or two. Although I did notice this past Fright Fest, Movietown felt like one of the most crowded areas. Between the coasters, DMP, GMG, and the trails, there was always a solid crowd over there.

I voted for Blackbeard's Treasure Train because that's my favorite roller coaster in all of Six Flags.

Even though I'm at Bizarro this season, I am saving my first ride for Nitro. :)
