Movietown is one of the most extreme sections of the park, this is because it is home to three major roller coasters and several other thrill rides. The idea of this section is to make you feel as if you're entering the movies. This is pulled off with two roller coasters themed to the popular Batman comics and movies.

The most notable feature in Movietown is Batman: The Ride. This ride is located right in the center of the section and has been the premier ride location for almost all of the park's history. Before Batman: The Ride was built in 1993, Lightning Loops was located there, one of the park's most famous removed roller coasters. Back then, however, it was known as Action Town.

The most recent addition to Movietown was Nitro, the massive hyper coaster, in 2001. From dining in the HBO Backlot to shopping the the DC Comics Justice League Headquarters, there's plenty to do in Movie Town. It's festive and between Batman: The Ride and Batman & Robin: The Chiller, it has its share of loud noises, but its sure to provide you with more than enough thrills to last you the whole day!
